With this brief on creating a portfolio for myself, I have begun looking into different paths I could take my work into. On the side of my Graphics uni work; I do some freelance work and have social media accounts where I post the work I enjoy doing. I think this is really important in deciding what path I would like to go down. This is because I want to specialise in the sector I most enjoy. Whats the point of spending my life creating graphic pieces I don’t enjoy, or I won’t put my heart into.
My instagram account is where I post pieces of graphic work I create when I have spare time. The style I usually stick to is illustrated faces or portraits. An example of the process I use is under the blog post of expand appearance. The style of this can be used in branding, posters and marketing. I also tend to enjoy branding. I realised I enjoyed branding when I created a logo for a broker company and a logo for my friends webpage.
